Key Concepts Reflection

Module 4 of the "Assessments with AI" specialization course explores the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into various assessment practices, covering both formative and summative assessments.

This module introduces AI-powered tools for creating engaging and interactive formative assessments, such as Quizizz, Kahoot!, Quizalize, and Question Well. Students are tasked with designing and implementing their own formative assessment, which is then peer-reviewed by classmates; besides, the unit emphasizes the importance of online discussions to encourage collaborative learning and feedback. Indeed, the module explores the use of AI in summative assessments, including the application of AI for project-based learning and performance-based tasks; we created a summative assessment using AI, received peer feedback, and participated in online discussions to share our experiences and insights. It delves into the development of assessment instruments, such as rubrics, checklists, and observation sheets, with the support of AI technologies.

Additionally, We learned how to design and implement these assessment tools to enhance the reliability, validity, and objectivity of the evaluations.

Finally, the final module focuses on the integration of AI in providing both generic and personalized feedback to students and teachers. It includes a final presentation where we are going to put into practice the knowledge we have gathered through the specialization course.

In conclusion, the modules' emphasis is on utilizing AI tools and techniques to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and personalization of both formative and summative assessments. The course equips teachers with the knowledge and skills to seamlessly integrate AI into their assessment practices, ultimately supporting the holistic development and success of learners.
